Bible Top - Game & Privacy Policy

1. Scope

This policy applies to the Bible Top game, ranking website, and newsletter subscription forms.

2. Data we collect

• Ranking data: player name, ranking email ID, accumulated score, quizzes count, average score, optional promoted link.
• Newsletter data: email address and consent record.
• Compliance/security metadata: consent timestamp, source page, technical logs (IP and user-agent), and request timestamps.

3. Why we process data

• Operate and display the leaderboard.
• Allow users to update one ranking profile per email ID.
• Send newsletters only to users who gave explicit consent.
• Protect services against abuse and fraud.

4. EU / EEA (GDPR) requirements

• Controller: Bible Top publisher (contact in section 12).
• Legal bases: service performance (ranking), legitimate interest (security), and consent (newsletter).
• Data minimization: only data needed for ranking identity, score display, and abuse prevention is processed.
• User rights: access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection, and portability, subject to legal conditions.
• Complaint right: EU/EEA users may complain to their local data protection authority.

5. US privacy requirements

• For relevant US state laws (including California), users may request access, correction, deletion, and information about data categories processed.
• We do not sell personal information for money. If legal definitions of "sharing" apply in a state, users may request opt-out treatment.
• Users may exercise rights without discrimination regarding core service quality, except where data is required to provide requested features.
• Authorized agents may submit requests where allowed by law, with reasonable verification steps.

6. Newsletter consent rule

Newsletter subscription requires an active checkbox confirmation: "I accept to be contacted..." linked to this policy. Subscription is rejected if consent is not checked.

7. Children and age limits

The ranking service is not intended for children under 13 (US COPPA) and is not intentionally directed to children where parental consent is legally required. If you believe a child submitted personal data, contact us for deletion.

8. Public information in ranking

Player name, score statistics, and optional promoted link can be publicly displayed on ranking pages. Ranking email is used as account identifier and is not intended for public display.

9. Retention

Ranking and newsletter data are kept while the services are active, unless deletion is requested by the data owner or required by law.

10. International transfers

If data is processed or hosted outside your country, we apply reasonable safeguards suitable to the transfer context and applicable law.

11. Security

We use server-side validation, prepared SQL statements, and rate limiting. No online system is fully risk-free; avoid sharing sensitive personal data in public profile text or promoted links.
